Your role

In this role, you will be working with a team of Specialists focusing on the Roche Region APAC customer group.

About the team

The Employee Lifecycle Management (ELM) team provides customer service and advisory support to HR and business partners on global HR systems and processes and ensures end-to-end process completion in line with customer-focused principles to ensure the Roche People Practices work for the business.

As an Intern - ELM, you are responsible for assisting in executing HR system data/documentation maintenance and administrative activities in a timely and accurate manner in support of HR business processes (in the area of recruiting, onboarding, employee movement/changes, terminations, performance, etc.). 

Responsibilities:

Service Delivery

  • Internal Process Compliance: Ensure that documentation practices comply with HR and Internal Process
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct quality reviews and audits of documents to identify errors, inconsistencies, and non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions and improvements to enhance document quality and integrity.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate within and  cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts (SMEs), Specialists, and other functions to gather information, review documents, and facilitate document 
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and efficiency gains in documentation processes, systems, and workflows, and implement solutions to enhance productivity, accuracy, and compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build relationships with HR colleagues within the HR Support Solutions organization as well as with customers to ensure ongoing service delivery effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with peers within the region and globally to ensure the HR Support Solutions network provides consistent and effective services to Roche customers.
  • Achieve the HR Support Solutions vision by driving global consistency through collaboration.

Outputs & Deliverables

  • Continuous contribution to the improvement of the performance of the Shared Service Centre 
  • Reaching high customer satisfaction through consistent, high-quality delivery and application of customer care principles (measured by defined stakeholder feedback)
  • Provide feedback and advice for contacts in both HR and the business (measured by defined stakeholder feedback)

About you

Qualifications required for this internship:

  • Candidate should be currently in pursuit of a bachelor’s degree, HR or Business Management is preferred 
  • Experienced and efficient handling of standard IT applications, preferably Google suite
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and spoken) are essential. Mandarin or additional languages are a plus.
  • Interested in working in a shared service center across a global or large organization. 
  • Able to commit to 6 months of internship this year.
