Your role

As a Corporate Finance Intern at Zalora Malaysia, you will be responsible for the following roles:

• Support on bi-monthly/quarterly indirect tax filings in Singapore and Malaysia, including analysis and extraction of data.
• Assist in the preparation of quarterly reporting packs. 
• Support project teams on tax improvement processes and treasury (inventory and insurance) projects. 
• Provide analyses that are associated with tax, inventory, and insurance. 
• Support other ad hoc projects and financial matters as they arise. 
• Collaborate on other Finance, Accounting, and business functions that are supported by Corporate Finance.

About you

To apply for this internship, you have to meet the following requirements:

• Commit to participating in an internship program for 6 months, generally off-site (i.e. work from home) with one day per week in the office. 
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree (required in Finance / Accounting).
• Prior internship experience in similar roles is preferred.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, and SAP knowledge would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have strong mathematical aptitude.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as the ability to meet critical deadlines in a timely and efficient manner.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrate ability to prioritize and organize work in order to accomplish multiple and changing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
