Your Role

As a Western Digital intern, you’ll help provide solutions to real-world problems, develop your network by attending onsite and offsite networking events, and learn directly from Western Digital’s leadership team.

• Participate in software development and product support activities that match the knowledge and skills of the candidate.​
• Participate in software system path-finding and research to create new systems or enhance existing systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support existing systems and develop new systems/solutions.​
• Create and update documentation for system architecture, design and specifications, and user guides/manuals.​
• Troubleshoot, debug and enhance manufacturing software systems.

Compensation & benefits

The average salary for this role at Western Digital Malaysia ranges from  MYR 12,000 to MYR 14,000 per year. ( Source: Glassdoor )

About You

• Candidate must be currently in Bachelor's or Master’s Degree program in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.​
• Practical experience with C#, .NET, Java, Javascript, Python 3. x, C++, SQL, and relational database technologies.​
• Familiar with both front-end and back-end software development technologies.​
• Knowledge of machine learning and analytics will be an added advantage.​
• Knowledge of software inter-process communications technologies will be an added advantage.​
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communications skills; Process and result oriented.​
• Strong passion for coding and software engineering.
