Your role

Responsibilities

• Objectively appraises the reliability of internal controls, systems, procedures, and financial statements and identifies key risk areas and lapses for improvement and monitoring corrective actions.
• Report significant issues related to the business and operational processes for controlling the activities of the Group together with recommendations for improvements by preparing periodic audit reports summarizing results of audit activities and follow-up reports on a timely basis.
• Review and report on the accuracy, timeline, and relevance of the financial information and financial report provided for management. System Audit.
• Objectively appraises the systems used are adequately controlled to ensure valid, reliable, timely, and secure input, processing, and output at all levels of a system’s activity.
• Verify if the systems under development meet the objectives of the organization, and ensure that the systems are developed in accordance with generally accepted standards for system development.
• Objectively appraises the many systems used that are adequately integrated to ensure valid, reliable, and consistent data are being used across departments.

About you

• At least studying in the academic field relating to Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, and Economics.
• Have the intention to become an internal auditor after completion of the internship.
• Able to carry out audit fieldwork independently by referring to audit programs/audit checklist/guidance provided by IA GM/Manager in an effective and efficient manner.
• Possess strong analytical, written/verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
• Able to converse and write in English and Mandarin.
• Able to present audit issues to Management during Exit Meetings.
• Possess own transport and willing to travel within Malaysia, China & Thailand.
• Possess knowledge of Windows and MS Office applications.
• Good command of English & Malay (spoken and written).
• Results-oriented, strong follow-up, and good negotiation skills.
• Pleasant personality and ability to interact with all levels of people.
