Production Specialists process wafers of different technologies and support the manufacturing operations at either a wafer fab or assembly test site.
Wafer fabs:
In wafer fabs, Production Specialists operate various equipment in performing functions such as aligning, masking, etching, and diffusion.
Assembly test sites:
Production Specialists perform specific AT semiconductor manufacturing functions in the production of semiconductor devices. They operate various equipment in performing functions such as test, tap, and reel or mark and pack. This role is responsible for setting up and operating a variety of manual, automatic, or semi-automatic machines used in the production of the company’s products.
