Your role

Sunway Education Group welcomes interested candidates to submit their resumes for the above-stated vacancy with the following job specifications. The successful candidate will be based in the Career Services unit at Student LIFE.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Students Initiatives 
    • Support the execution of the Career Readiness Program and sponsorship-based events.
    • Organize/ co-organise school-specific events and initiatives.
    • Involved in the Orientation/ Spotlight Program and ensuring career visibility is met at orientation through new and different ways.
  • Internship Management
    • Coordinate internship placement opportunities for students.
    • Establish a liaison role between students and school administration concerning the placement of students.
    • Screen and post all known, pertinent job opportunities.
    • Review students' resumes and counsel students regarding corrections if necessary.
    • Conduct internship-related workshops/ talks for students.
  • Career Services Email Management & Career Portal Email Management
    • Ensure all emails are attended to while ensuring responses to all queries/ questions are in check and emails are forwarded to the relevant parties to avoid delay in action.
    • Attend to all portal-related inquiries from employers, students, and internship coordinators.
  • Career Portal System
    • Review and conduct background checks on every new employer that registers in the portal.
    • Approve job postings in the portal and reach out to respective employers if there are issues with a particular posting.
    • Approval of new student registrations.
    • Ensure all internships and alumni (self-registered) are correctly flagged in the portal based on their internship term and graduation period.
    • Look at further enhancement and utilization of data and processes within the portal.
  • Provide advisory service and support to students.

The salary for the role may range from MYR 36,000 to MYR 54,000and benefits like :
