In the Product Design Lead role, you will drive our product strategy and ensure that we build a platform that makes businesses awesome! You will also define and drive StoreHub’s product vision and strategy into an actionable plan. StoreHub works with tens of thousands of businesses across Southeast Asia and this role is critical for leading the team that will build, launch and grow the experiences of our customers.

You don’t need to be an expert or know everything about our industry (even we don’t!). But the work is challenging, fast paced, and always on the bleeding edge. So, we’re looking for someone with a curious mind, a strong drive to make things happen, and a passion to keep improving yourself.

What you will do:

• Manage, mentor, and advocate for a team of designers
• Defining wider business goals & strategy with the Head of Product and Head of Engineering
• Management of stakeholder relationships with confidence
• Drive a high-quality, fast-moving design process for the team
• Continuously improve design and development processes for UI/UX products
• Leverage various metrics, user testing, innovation design thinking to guide leading design decisions
• Analyze user behavior to validate problems and solutions through a strong user/customer research
• Advocate for impactful unique experiences across markets
• A strong portfolio that can demonstrate your hands-on UX/design capabilities – on the assumption that your CV will show your previous seniority and any prior management/mentoring responsibilities

You will need:

• Bachelor degree in Human Computer Interactions, Design, Psychology, Computer Sciences or related disciplines
• At least 7+ years of working experience designing excellent digital products
• 2+ years of managing a design team, building capabilities and mentoring junior designers
• Have worked on a product throughout the entire product development process: from research and problem-solving to detailed UI and interaction design. Helped to improve key metrics in your previous employers’ business
• Empathy for the customers and can anticipate user needs
• Experience in user research and usability testing, and turning the output into data that can drive product design decisions
• Passion for data-driven and use quantitative as well as qualitative data sources to inform your design decisions
• Have a great ability to design polished, high-fidelity mockups and prototypes of your solutions using tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision
• Can work within an existing design system and know when to break out and create new, extensible patterns
• Thrive to work in a startup environment
• Know how to break big problems into smaller experiments to validate assumptions faster
• Have great written and verbal communication skills to help people across the company to understand the rationale behind your proposals
