Your role

As a Radiation Protection Officer Assistant, you will perform administration processes related to Atomic Energy Licensing Board for Siemens Healthineers MY and ensure all regulatory processes are performed and adhered to with high efficiency. 

You will carry the following responsibilities:

  • You will  assist the Radiation Protection Officer / Radiation Protection Supervisor in AELB / regulatory related matter
  • You will assist the  RPO in determining the level of training and retraining of RPO and radiation workers
  • You will  assist the RPO in monitoring the radiation emergency plan and procedures
  • You will  assist RPO in a regulatory audit by a regulatory body
  • You will act as the official liaison with the regulatory body on behalf of the RPO
  • You will execute, record, and update the below documents:
    • Monthly dose monitoring program for radiation workers (Customer Service Engineer).
    • The medical record for radiation workers and worker database maintenance.
    • Radiation worker movement record.
    • Ensure complete maintenance record for the radiation apparatus in AELB system.
    • Ensure disposal of radiation apparatus records is updated.
    • Ensure calibration of the radiation device is done accordingly.
    • Statement of ownership/sales of irradiating apparatus.
    • Import / Export record.
    • Radioactive material movement record.
    • Security and Emergency Plan record.
    • Maintenance of other records as required under AELB.
