Your role

Position overview

As a Data and Visualization Intern, you'll collaborate with our business team to analyze and transform data into impactful visualizations using tools like Excel, Power BI, Tableau, and Thinkcell. This hands-on internship in Singapore and Malaysia offers valuable experience in data manipulation, visualization design, and communication through dashboards. Ideal candidates should be current students with a valid student pass, ready for a full-time internship, contributing to areas such as Customer Relationship Management, market transparency, intelligence, and financial reviews.

You’ll break new ground by:

  • Data Gathering: Obtaining data from different sources and organizing them in Excel. Clean, transform, and organize data to ensure accuracy and consistency for analysis. 
  • Data Analysis: Performing data analysis using Excel’s built-in calculations. Identify trends, patterns, and outliers within the data. Support the business in generating insights that support business decision-making.
  • Data Visualization: Working on improving the aesthetics and user-friendliness of existing Excel and PowerPoint visualizations. Incorporate best practices in data visualization to enhance clarity and impact. Introduce new visualizations using platforms such as Power BI. Combining data from multiple sources to create comprehensive dashboards.
  • Collaboration and Presentation: Engaging with business stakeholders to understand requirements. Present findings and visualizations to different audiences, for example, Senior Management Reviews, and cross-country Reviews.
  • Being flexible to adopt additional responsibilities/tasks that may be assigned by business requirements.

About you

  • Pursuing/possessing a degree in Data and Information Management Systems, Business Management, Engineering, or a related field. Final year students preferred.
  • Familiarity with data analysis concepts and a strong interest in data visualization.
  • Good understanding of Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, etc, and their capabilities for creating interactive dashboards.
  • Understanding of basic financial KPIs.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
