Your role

The Business Development and Partnerships teams at Shopee are dynamic and energetic. The Data Analytics team plays a critical role in conducting close-loop data-driven business iterations. As data analysts, the scope of work is not limited to just performance monitoring and reporting, but also to proactively finding actionable insights to help drive high-impact business changes. The end-to-end data solution reduces the gap between the business teams and technical teams and achieves real ‘intelligence’ in the iteration cycle.

What will you do?

• Work with cross-functional stakeholders (e.g. Shopee Mall, Campaign Planning, Retail, etc.) to understand business needs to provide structure & architecture to otherwise convoluted and complex data
• Develop, automate & maintain reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights that help business decision-making process and facilitate better performance monitoring 
• Drive continuous improvement, automation & optimization of business processes to improve operational efficiency and ensure data quality
• Work with stakeholders to identify and define problem statements and pain points, gather requirements, and implement sustainable solutions to support the business
• Propose high-impact analytical projects to propel the business further
• Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

About you

Shopee looks for the following requirements in you:

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Fresh graduates or candidates with up to 2 years of working experience in similar roles
• Proficiency in Python and SQL (Structured Query Language) is a must, familiarity with Google Sheets/ Google Slides/ Microsoft Excel is preferred
• Ability to break down complex problems and ideas and solve them in a structured manner
• Willing to learn and be proactive in ideating high-impact projects to grow the business, attention to detail
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
