Your role

As a Finance & Controlling Intern at Mercedes-Benz Malaysia, you will do the tasks below:

• Payment processing from invoice recording to payment execution
• Staff claims processing
• Assist in Internal Control documentation
• Assist in follow-up with all parties to ensure all invoices are posted, paid, and cleared on time
• Assist in reporting, analysis including vendor/customer balances reconciliation and aging report
• Assist in the preparation of tax schedules
• Assist in the preparation of journal vouchers and month-end closing activities
• Assist in non-trade, inter-companies, and GD invoicing activities
• Ad-hoc assignments and projects as and when required
• Duration of internship: mandatory 6 months

About you

The main qualification you must have to apply for this role:

• Hold an Advance Diploma/Diploma in Accounting/Degree in Accounting

The specific knowledge/skills you need to be preferred:

• Basic accounting knowledge
• Computer application knowledge i.e Microsoft Office. Knowledge of SAP applications will be an added advantage
• Good communication skills (verbal and written) in English. Other languages are an added advantage
• Good and approachable inter-personal skills
• Good numerical and analytical ability
• Possess strong compliance toward work
• Independent and self-driven personality
• Professional in approach to the work environment
• Able to conduct work and business discussions across departments in a professional manner
• Able to assist to complete review and reporting submissions timely and in an organized and professional way
