About Infineon Technologies Malaysia:

Infineon Technologies AG was founded in 2000 and originated from the Siemens semiconductor division. In the same year, the facility and the production area were purchased from CVEM in Hungary. In 2001 the site was restructured within the New BIP Project, therefore the whole bipolar pressure-contact products assembly and testing were made by Cegléd.

IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) assembly and production were started in 2002. During the runner-up, the first 2-story production area with 4500 m2 was built establishing 300 new workplaces, and the production activity launched in January 2004.

Due to the constant development of the site in the last 27 years, the once (1989) small factory with 37 employees had grown into a dynamically growing, leading company in the area with about 1000 employees, and with a yearly output of over 8,5 million semiconductor modules.
