Your role

This is a 6-month internship position. Supporting the Marketing Manager and PR and Digital Specialist, with key responsibilities concerning Digital Marketing: create and maintain a favorable public image for the Shopping Centre by communicating activities, accomplishments, and/or points of view; as well as support in plan, developing, implement and manage the overall digital marketing strategy for the Shopping Centre. Loyalty and CRM: support in operations and documentation of the implementation of loyalty programs.

Job description

  • Work closely with the marketing team and support the mall and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Assist in managing the digital marketing strategy for CRM and loyalty programs.
  • To create and develop content / copywriting to attract and engage internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the creation of visual graphics and videos intended for publication on social media and offline while adhering to brands’ branding guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team in handling digital and online communications, execute online and social media campaigns as well as the production of EDM from conception, collation, and content writing to result in efficiency.
  • Provide support in monitoring media coverage, competitors, and industry issues.
  • Support the creation of digital media content to improve brand positioning.
  • Handle department documentation and administration work, including but not limited to loyalty program documentation.
  • Support in on-ground activities and campaign execution when necessary.
  • Manage the life cycle trigger email and mobile push notification program.

Miscellaneous

  • Support in administrative and corporate records of the department.
  • Prepare and manage internal communication among co-workers.
  • To execute any other job responsibilities as and when required by the manager or any other persons designated by the Company which includes all Marketing, Promotions, Events, and Activities.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities and potentials and recommend initiatives that will drive good traffic growth to the Shopping Centre. 
  • Support the marketing co-workers and graphic communicators to create strong digital marketing campaigns.

Work-life balance

Working hours at IKEA are great, regularly from Monday to Friday, from 10 AM to 10 PM. You won't bring any work to your home. Working days only allow 5 days in a week, the gap between shifts will ensure 12 hours. Specifically for this role, you'll be required to be able to work on public holidays, weekends, and shift hours.

About you

To apply for this role you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Current enrollment in a Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Business, or related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of basic marketing principles and customer relationship management concepts.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.
  • Passionate about creating and delivering delightful experiences for customers.
  • Good Internet & social platforms technical and functional knowledge
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia, both written and verbal.
