Your role

As an Interior Design Intern at IKEA Malaysia, you will have the following responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Interior Design Team in ensuring efficiency in presenting the different home furnishing inspirations to our customers aesthetically and commercially.
  • Contributing to positioning the IKEA store as the first choice for home furnishing in your local market.
  • Stimulating and increasing interest in home furnishing by constantly showing new and inspiring solutions that motivate people to visit the IKEA store frequently.
  • Using the richness of the IKEA product range shows distinct and different styles that appeal to many individual tastes and needs.
  • Applying your home furnishing knowledge to ensure up-to-date room settings and other storage media that exceed our visitors’ expectations.

Training & development 

IKEA has its own system of learning and trainings designed for a specific job position. You will get introduction training as a new co-worker where you will learn about how the company operates, the safety and security rules, customer friendly principles and our environmental approach. You will also get a mentor – a colleague who answers all your questions, shows you your department and introduces you to your colleagues.

About you

  • Self-reliant and motivated with proven ability to work as part of a team & independently, trustworthy, honest, fair and good judgment.
  • Able to start in February/ March 2023, for a duration of 3 months.
