Your role

As an OSS Delivery Engineer (Operations Support System) at Huawei Malaysia, you will be:

  • Responsible for Operations Support System (OSS)
    • a. HLD / LLD design (including use case design), user/resource/requirement data collection (requirement gathering),
    • b. Configuration/customization/deployment of the system (such as configuring the GUI & develop the script for enrichment/correlation, auto TT creation, auto diagnosis, auto TT closure, reporting, TT page, process design/orchestration;
    • rule analysis/design/configuration, custom APP design/layout/development, etc),
    • c. User Acceptance Testing (UAT),
    • d. Trial run, and
    • e. System maintenance.
  • Be responsible for one or more of the OSS modules, such as Fault Management (FM), Performance Management (PM), ServiceDesk Management (SDM), Workforce Management (WFM), Reporting System, Predictive system, etc.
  • Support customers for OSS system minor customization/development & fault troubleshooting, as well as performing software updates/upgrades during
  • maintenance period.
  • Understand the SOW of the contract and customer requirement, output or be involved to output OSS technical solutions, project delivery plans, control and monitor project implementation.
  • Support the OSS sales team, and be responsible for reviewing the technical proposal and requirements.

About you

If you are interested to apply for this role, here are the requirements you need to meet:

Professional requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or Telecommunication Engineering.
  • Familiar with frontend application programming and backend application development skills (e.g. HTML, Javascript, Python & Ruby).
  • Familiar with database principles, with basic data modeling capability.
  • Familiar with integration protocol (e.g. CORBA, SNMP, SOAP/REST, etc).
  • With knowledge of Operating Systems, Databases, & High Availability (HA)/Disaster Recovery (DR) Solution.
  • Understand basic knowledge of Operations and Maintenance (Field Operation, NOC, Operation process).
  • Be good at communication external and internal, and good at finding and solving problems.
  • With good English verbal and written ability.
  • Being Familiar with industry standards including eTOM and ITIL will be a plus.
  • Having NOC or operations automation analysis, design, and implementation experience will be a plus.
