Your role

To assist in ensuring continuity and effective functioning of the Shariah Secretariat and Shariah Advisory functions.

Shariah Research and Advisor:

  • To assist the Head of Shariah Research and Advisory in the product review and approval process for Marketing and Branding materials of WPB.
  •  To assist in the Shariah Risk Management refresher process.
  • To assist in preparing Shariah justification/research for the WPB proposal presented to the Shariah Committee.
  • Shariah Secretariat:

  To assist and support the Shariah Department in managing Shariah Committee meetings and ensuring all Shariah Committee decisions approved are properly recorded, disseminated, and monitored.

  • To assist the Department in effectively managing the Shariah resources in implementing the Shariah Governance Policy at the Bank.

About you

If you are interested in applying for this program, you have to meet the following qualifications:

  • Shariah Qualified candidate; Bachelor’s Degree student in Shariah or Islamic Law (Fiqh Mu`amalat).
  • To be eligible for a place in the program, you must be an undergraduate student studying in any discipline with the availability to work full-time from February 2024- March 2024 for a minimum duration of 10 to 12 weeks. 
  • Good English communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Good learning attitude and pleasant personality to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The legal right to work in Malaysia
