Your role

Purpose of the internship:

Summary: By exploring the use of Gen AI in ESG use cases, the bank can significantly reduce the manual workload of the BCB ESG team. It is estimated that staff can spend a few hours to 2 days assessing an ESG report by companies. Having Gen AI as a second opinion or even as the main assessor will aid in the Bank's ESG goal when BCB is assessing the ESG compliance of a corporate customer.

Responsibilities during the Internship

• Explore the use of various generative models, that can be used to support the analysis of Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) initiatives and reports
• Support the development of a quantifiable framework for an ESG rating system
• Work closely with business units to understand their requirements
• Understand the Bank’s ESG strategy to devise appropriate solutions accordingly
• Support the deployment of the ESG solutions during the stage of operationalization

Expectations from the Internship:

• Create a comprehensive comparison report of various candidate generative models at the end of the internship.
• Recommend the appropriate model for the AI team for production deployment.
• Produce a presentation for the development of a quantifiable framework for an ESG rating system.
• All of the above requires a close working relationship with the BCB ESG team.
