Your role

Overview

• The incumbent is responsible as a technical generalist for equipment, process, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation. Act as the overall coordinator for all internal & external engineering on projects as required. In this capacity is responsible for the successful design, implementation, commission, and handover of projects assigned by the Project Manager.

Duties & responsibilities

• Project management:

  • Develops project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans; conferring with management.
  • Determines project responsibilities by identifying project phases & elements and reviewing bids from contractors.
  • Determines project specifications by studying product design, customer, requirements performance standards, completing technical studies, and preparing cost estimates.
  • Confirms product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Determines project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements; sequencing project elements.
  • Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Controls project plan by reviewing design, specification, and plan and schedule changes; recommending actions.
  • Prepares project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends; recommending actions.

• Process Improvement:

  • Acts as an internal consultant for a location to lead, define & develop continuous improvement activities & redesign activities.
  • Responsible for the support & integration of continuous improvement efforts at the site which includes completing technical studies; preparing cost estimates.
  • Plans & coordinates training for others who will support the execution of continuous improvement strategies and tools.
  • Leads problem-solving efforts to improve quality & eliminate waste/cost of poor performance at each plant.
  • Applies statistical method/analysis to improve process capability, reduce process variation & optimize break-through performances.
  • Design, drive and perform operational analysis of the manufacturing processes.
  • Identifies key elements of process improvement and partners with process owner to deliver sustainable and repeatable change.
  • Develops and prepares improvement indexes and related reports.
  • Functions as a process improvement expert regarding tasks, projects, and operations.

• Other

  • Any other task/project assigned by your Superior or Management.

Compensation & benefits

Work-life balance

Hartalega applies standard working hours from 9 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday. However, if you are placed at the factory, you may need to work on a rotating shift. About you

• Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and related operations/process improvement experience.
• Minimum 1-2 years working in electrical, control systems, and instrumentation engineering.
• Preferred 1-2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
