Your role

In this role, you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Preparation of cheques for insurance and non-insurance payments for KL and Branches (amounts exceeding branch authority limit), commission payments on the respective category of payment such as Counter cases, Post, Expenses, PINV, Tax, Banca, G400 and Life Asia payment.
• Verify of cheques from FPMS/AS400 systems of all insurance payments made at Head Office (inclusive of branches' payments for amounts exceeding branch authority limit).
• Verify input into the AP Oracle System of all payment details for the production of cheques.
• Verify and controlling of all telegraphic transfers and bank draft applications.
• Monitor commissions payment via OFIN-AP upon received of email alerts.
• Prepare statistics of payments/payment cancellation/change payment details daily.
• Monitoring of cheques in stock for re-ordering and stamp duty advice on new cheques.
• Checking and ensuring that all expenses PV or non-insurance payments are authorised accordingly before sending to the signatories to sign (based on the Delegations of Authority Limit's table).
• Perform cheque cancellation and expiry.
• Checking of payment reports to ensure accuracy and completeness of all payment details in systems.
• Daily balancing and updating of cheque registers for all cheques prepared in AP/FPMS/AS400 systems.
• Statistic of cheque sign based on the Signatories Duty Roster.
• Supervision and controlling the work of the Grade I & II Cheque writers to ensure that the section functions effectively and efficiently.
• Any other function relevant to the job grade which may be assigned from time to time.
• Maintain awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company
• Highlight any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practice.

About you
