About Grab Malaysia

Tan and Tan Hooi Ling introduced the "My Teksi" app in Malaysia in 2012 to make taxi rides there secure. GrabTaxi changed its name to "Grab" in January 2016 and unveiled a brand-new logo. To facilitate smooth communication between passengers and drivers and to interpret messages when the default dialects of the driver and passenger disagree, Grab implemented the "GrabChat" in-app instant messaging tool in October 2016. Grab introduced its rewards program, GrabRewards, and its taxi and car-sharing services, GrabShare, in December 2016. Grab introduced the GrabCoach service in February 2017, and Grab created GrabFamily for small children under 7 years old in March 2017. After that month, Grab introduced JustGrab, a flat-fare structure with fewer restrictions.

Your Role

Not only that, but you will also get to work with Social Publishers such as KL Foodie, and Malaysia Food & Travel to produce awesome delicious content! 

Conceptualize Grab’s social content alongside these great content creators and many other social influencers in the Malaysian social sphere. Be part of the team that creatively strategizes social content for consumption by Millions of Malaysians!

• The Internship will be with the GrabFood Social Media team.
• Daily social media platform content publishing on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok & YouTube.
• Social Content Planning and Strategising
• Social Campaign Ideation, Research, and Execution with…

• Supporting key campaigns through social content creation:
  • Creation of IG Stories using given templates 
  • Creation of IG Stories (own production)
  • TikTok Content Creation (own production) 
• General Research, Analysis, Trends,
• Provide on-ground social activation support.
• Oversee campaign support, online and on-ground. 
• Post-campaign reports/analysis.

Compensation & benefits

The average annual salary of an intern at Grab is  MYR 10,000 to MYR 12,000 per year

About You

• Willing to learn and able to learn fast
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Chinese would be an advantage too! 
• Basic knowledge of Excel (basic formulas such as SUM, IF, VLOOKUP, etc)
• Critical and analytical thinking skills with a sound understanding of marketing principles and message positioning
• Ability to insightfully brief and direct creative materials based on audience, medium, and channel
• Strong writing skills with the ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple way
• The ability to use Adobe Suite or production software is a plus
• Must be based in KL/Selangor during the internship period
