About Grab Malaysia

Tan and Tan Hooi Ling introduced the "My Teksi" app in Malaysia in 2012 to make taxi rides there secure. GrabTaxi changed its name to "Grab" in January 2016 and unveiled a brand-new logo. To facilitate smooth communication between passengers and drivers and to interpret messages when the default dialects of the driver and passenger disagree, Grab implemented the "GrabChat" in-app instant messaging tool in October 2016. Grab introduced its rewards program, GrabRewards, and its taxi and car-sharing services, GrabShare, in December 2016. Grab introduced the GrabCoach service in February 2017, and Grab created GrabFamily for small children under 7 years old in March 2017. After that month, Grab introduced JustGrab, a flat-fare structure with fewer restrictions.

Your Role

The day-to-day activities:

  • Two accounts - Instagram management (GrabMY & GrabFood) - managing inquiries via IG Story and DM, and escalating them to SORT accordingly for further assistance.
  • Proactive Engagement for Twitter & IG (identify viral tweets and activate proactive engagement)
  • Identify any possible Moment Marketing activation, eg identify viral tweet/case, and activate MM to enhance community management/brand love
  • Main social issue/crisis identification - especially revolving around KOL on social
  • Compile reports and screenshots of Grab issues on a daily basis in a deck - ease the escalation process, helps us and the team to quickly handle crisis in a timely manner, and able to escalate to PIC accordingly.
