Your role

The intern will support the GL team in posting entries which include accruals, provisions, and bank entries.

As an intern, your responsibilities include:

  • GL entries and monthly closing activities.
  • Responsible for intercompany accounting. Reconcile IC BS & IC PL differences with counterparts in a timely manner.
  • Post bank entries and prepare month-end bank reconciliation in a timely manner.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliation in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for Fixed asset ledger and asset accounting.
  • Ensure timely clearance of balance sheet items.  Liaising with stakeholders to obtain missing information when necessary.
  • To work closely with AR, AP, Treasury, and country Finance teams, especially for month-end closing activities.

About you

Education 

  • Currently pursuing a degree or professional qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

Functional skills and knowledge 

  • Demonstrate basic knowledge and application of local/international accounting standards, principles, and practices. 
  • Demonstrate good research and analytical skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
  • Proficiency in using productivity tools such as Microsoft Office.
