Your role

This job is an internship for Logistics & Business students. You would learn from DHL's senior experts and work in the Air Freight Department.

Your daily job scope consists of different areas within the Department of Air Freight:

• To liaise with contracted local and interstate truckers on the required size of trucks to be utilized for the daily pick-up, deliveries, transshipments, and interstate movements. To monitor the timely availability of these trucks at the required locations.
• To communicate the truck details to internal customers as well as to inform them of any changes to these details upon receiving the revised truck details from truckers.
• To ensure all documents related to trucking movements are accounted for, filed, or passed over to the respective departments those documents as required on a timely basis as laid down in these SOPs.
• To reply and respond on a daily basis to all related emails from internal and external customers on any issues pertaining to trucking.
• To report regularly to the immediate superior on the performance of the area of responsibilities.
• To escalate all related issues pertaining to Transport immediately.
• To perform any other duties assigned by the Team Leader from time to time
• To ensure costing is correct as per RFQ for all shipment

About you

To be successful in this internship, DHL expects your qualifications to have the following:

• Diploma and/or Degree in Logistics, Transportation, and/or Business Studies with a minor in Logistics and supply chain.
• It will be an added advantage if you have previous experience dealing with customers.
• Being able to write and speak professionally in English.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• This internship location is at Iskandar Puteri, Johor.
• DHL welcomes students with at least 4-6 months of internship to apply.
