Your role

  • Assist in executing various recruitment initiatives as outlined in the recruitment strategies to attract good external talents to meet the Firm’s current and future needs
  • Represent the firm at various recruitment events, including career fairs, recruitment talks, and university events, and deliver a positive candidate experience
  • Responsible for managing & developing the Firm’s profile on various job portals
  • Assist in creating attractive content/material as part of recruitment initiatives, including surveys where necessary
  • Assist in administrative tasks that may arise from recruitment initiatives, but not limited to preparation of payment vouchers/AMLA documentation, sending out email communications, or managing communication platforms such as Zoom or Ms. Teams at BDO events, etc
  • Assist to strengthen BDO’s Employment Value Proposition in line with BDO’s employer brand strategy as one of the top employers of choice for professional and graduate hires
  • Responsible for building/extending good rapport/relationships with various stakeholders including government talent agencies, universities, and professional bodies
  • Assist the People & Culture team in the execution of various Employee Engagement activities internally

Training, Development & Rotations

BDO Life supports the development of its employees through training programs and other learning opportunities that reinforce their current level of competencies, professionalism, and work effectiveness. BDO also offers two-year rotations for client-facing professionals with the National Accounting, SEC, Audit, and Tax departments.

Compensation & Benefits

The estimated total pay for this role at the BDO is between MYR 49,000/ MYR 56,000 per year. You may also be entitled to other allowances and benefits including:

About you

  • Degree in Human Resources/ Business or related courses. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Proficient in spoken and written English
  • Excellent team player, dynamic and forward-thinking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact comfortably with all levels from Gen Zs to experienced hires including key representatives from various stakeholders (e.g. government talent agencies, higher education institutions, career services, and professional bodies) 
  • Must possess proven organizational, written, and verbal communication skills (copyrighting skills are is an added advantage)
  • Able to create simple design work using Canva (or other equivalent tools)
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimum supervision
  • Flexibility to travel to university campuses by up to 50% during the peak recruitment season
