Your role

The objective of the position

The Global Supply Chain Services setup in Asia Pacific has two broad setups: Import Export Operations which is responsible for Import Export Management across the countries and the Asia Pacific Trading Center (APTC) which is responsible for Import Export Order Management. The Import Export Operations has an organizational presence across 12 countries in Asia Pacific managing the Import Management, Transportation Management Inbound-Air/Maritime Export Management while APTC connects the sales companies to the different production sites across the globe with simplification of order management and communication flow.

As part of the Domestic Delivery Service team, you will be reporting to the Senior Manager and supporting the team in managing projects and operation tasks.

Main responsibilities

As a Transportation and Distribution Network Management Intern at BASF Malaysia, you will have the following duties & responsibilities:

• Support the domestic delivery services team in transportation management and distribution network management operations team.
• Assist in application development such as VBA script or Macro for operations in transportation and distribution network
• Participate and support in operation improvement projects such as track and trace, and operation process improvement measures 
• Administrative tasks and assist in presentation activities i.e. business reporting, meeting minutes, meeting slide preparation, etc.
