Your role

As an investigation associate, you have to be able to perform the following tasks with high accuracy, precision, dedication, and a keen eye for details:

• Perform investigation tasks/cases assigned by the Head of Investigations and Digital Governance (HOD) with minimal supervision.
• Perform system checks and audits where required for fraud or content piracy cases (eg: CRM. SAP. Data Warehouse).
• Prepare detailed investigation reports with case findings to the HOD which include investigation findings and weaknesses detected in processes that caused the fraud.
• Perform investigations into content piracy online or physical monitoring where required.
• Able to perform data analytics via EDW, Excel, Tableau or SQL to detect anomalies and potential fraud.
• Able to prepare draft police/Regulatory reports for HOD to be lodged to the respective authorities.

As a digital governance associate, you have to be able to perform the following tasks:

• Perform 24/7 daily monitoring and take-down of infringement rights of Astro Intellectual Properties on social media backend platform systems (I.e. Meta/Instagram Rights Manager and Creator Studio/YouTube Content ID) and other systems (Google Drives/TikTok/Twitter, etc.).
• Prepare data analytics reports of Social Media performance and copyright reports made for HOD.
• Work with business units to clear audio/visual rights issues to ensure Astro channels/pages do not receive copyright strikes on a timely basis.
• Prepare Financial reports for HOD on all financial aspects of YouTube/Meta/Instagram/Tiktok for financial reporting and revenue allocation to business units.

About you

• Degree in Finance/Accounting/Marketing/Digital Marketing/Computer Science. Other degree fields can also be considered on a case by case basis.
• Good communication, presentation and written skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional language proficiency like Mandarin is an added advantage).
• Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills (Intermediate to Advance).
• Data Analytics tools (MySQL, Tableau, Excel/other tools) (Intermediate to Advance).
• Basic knowledge of Social Media processes and tools (i.e. Meta Rights Manager/Creator Studio and YouTube Content ID).
• Financial reporting and analytics (Intermediate).
