Your role

In this role you will have the main responsibilities below:

• To manage day-to-day operations of sales distribution via dealers and sales agency type model for both CE & Hotel
• To support the CE & Hotel team on operations requirements  

Training & development 

Astro’s Internship Programme is a structured and robust program for undergraduate students currently pursuing their first degree/diploma in institutions of higher learning. The program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on training in the media and broadcast industry, work on real projects, and benefit from a range of classroom-style training sessions. The program lasts for 10 weeks and is open to students from various fields of study. Throughout the internship, opportunities for development through classroom-style training programs are also offered. At the end of your time at Astro, you’ll have gained exposure to working life at Malaysia’s leading media company, experience, and knowledge related to your field of study, and a coveted addition to your resume. High-performing candidates will potentially be offered employment upon the completion of their studies.

Career progression

Upon completion of the internship, you will have a good understanding of Malaysia’s media landscape and advertising industry. You will be exposed to multiple digital assets under the Astro group and be familiarized with Industry tools such as Brandwatch and Google Analytics. Additionally, high-performing candidates may be offered employment opportunities after completing their studies.

Work-life balance

According to the majority of online employees' reviews, working at Astro did not disturb their work-life balance (WLB). The employees also mention about flexible working hours that are provided by the company. For women, there is a 3-month maternity leave provided, so it does support its people to have a good WLB. The regular operational hours at the head office are from 8 AM to 6 PM, Monday to Friday.
