Content Distribution Intern null

Your role

In this role, you will have your internship placement within Astro's Content Distribution department. The content distribution department is responsible for the distribution of all available Astro content to local and foreign clients. 

During the duration of the internship, the you will be involved in content sales, content marketing, and monitoring of content databases and assets.

• Content sales support involves the following:
• Liaise with existing clients on content requirements.
• Create content decks for proposals to clients.
• Communicate with internal content and production departments on required materials for delivery to clients.
• Communicate with legal and finance on agreements and invoicing.
• Content marketing support involves the following:
• Create content newsletters to send out to clients.
• Plan and manage digitization of content catalog (i.e. New Content Distribution website).
• Manage and monitor the Content Distribution website once launched.
• Content database and asset monitoring:
• Manage and update content master list and title assets.
• Monitor and update the list of clients.

About you

To be eligible for this role, you need to meet the qualifications below:

• An education background in broadcasting, mass communications, or business. 
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Able to converse and read in English, Malay, and Chinese (Plus point).

Training & development

Astro’s Internship Programme is a structured and robust program for undergraduate students currently pursuing their first degree/diploma in institutions of higher learning. The program provides an opportunity to gain hands-on training in the media and broadcast industry, work on real projects, and benefit from a range of classroom-style training sessions. The program lasts for 10 weeks and is open to students from various fields of study. Throughout the internship, opportunities for development through classroom-style training programs are also offered. At the end of your time at Astro, you’ll have gained exposure to working life at Malaysia’s leading media company, experience, and knowledge related to your field of study, and a coveted addition to your resume. High-performing candidates will potentially be offered employment upon the completion of their studies.
