AMD is looking for a highly talented engineer to join its Data Center GPU team as a Graduate Trainee working on platform designs, validations, and solutions to help the customers WIN with AMD Instinct systems. You will be part of the DC GPU Systems Design & Enablement team to drive and improve AMD’s abilities to deliver the highest quality, industry-leading technologies to market. Your systems design engineering expertise will be necessary for product development, validation, and root cause resolution.
As a Systems Design Engineer, you will drive balanced, scalable, and automated solutions. In this high visibility position, your software systems engineering expertise will be necessary for Product development, definition, and root cause resolution.
Key responsibilities:
Driving technical innovation to improve AMD’s capabilities across validation, including tool and script development, technical and procedural methodology enhancement, and various internal and cross-functional technical initiatives
Debugging issues found during the process, bring-up, validation, and production phases of SOC programs
Working with multiple teams, and tracking test execution to make sure all features are validated and optimized on time
Working closely with supporting technical teams
Engaging in other software/hardware modeling frameworks
About you
Academic credentials:
Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines.
CGPA with a minimum of 3.0 and above or equivalent
Preferred experience:
Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
Understanding of modern x86 microprocessor architecture and Server platform architecture is highly desired.
Understand the test plan and test development flow
Familiarity with programming/scripting language especially Python
Experience with common lab equipment, including protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
Working knowledge of Server OSes (Linux, Windows)
Must be a self-starting team player with excellent communication skills who can work with minimal guidance.
A passion for solving tough technical problems will be an added advantage.
