Your role

AirAsia Malaysia is seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Events Intern to join the team. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in planning, organizing, and executing corporate events, conferences, and other promotional activities. The Events Intern will work closely with the experienced events team and contribute to the success of various projects.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist in the coordination of corporate events, including conferences, seminars, product launches, and promotional campaigns.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop event concepts, themes, and creative ideas.
  • Assist in researching and negotiating with vendors, suppliers, and venues.
  • Support the logistics of events, including venue setup, catering, audio-visual equipment, and guest accommodations.
  • Aid in managing event budgets and financial transactions.
  • Assist in creating and managing event timelines and schedules.
  • Provide on-site support during events, ensuring smooth execution and excellent guest experience.
  • Assist in post-event evaluation, feedback collection, and analysis to improve future events.

About you

To apply for this internship, you need to meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in G Suites / Microsoft Office Suite 
  • Creative mindset with a passion for event planning and execution.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Previous experience in event planning or related activities (preferred but not mandatory).
